HOW WE DID IT

The project is complex because Christie+Co operates in numerous sectors, requiring a multi-pronged approach encompassing pubs, hotels, restaurants, retail, leisure, childcare and generic ‘business for sale’ keywords. Ranking KPIs were set for each industry sector – 12 in total. With over 250 Christie+Co employees across each of these sectors, getting buy-in from key teams was also important to the success of the project.

KEY STAGES

We identified a number of technical issues through a comprehensive technical audit and implemented on-site fixes such as improved meta data, on-site content and internal linking. To improve upon the content and provide valuable information we designed, built and launched the Christie+Co blog. This included White writing posts, training internal teams and managing uploads. A comprehensive link audit was carried out into a range of completitors that lead to the creation of a link building strategy with a focus on targeting local towns and regions. The link building strategy also tarageted the creation of shareable content such as infographics, studies and interviews to generate natural links.

WHATS NEXT

We’ve developed a strong working relationship with Chritie+Co since they became a client in 2010, which we’re continuning to build on as we target location and sector-based keyword variants by developing imaginative content in the coming months.
